Le luci della Coppa del Mondo UCI di Mountain Bike si accendono sulla Val di Sole, Trentino, per una delle tappe più attese e spettacolari dell’intero circuito Mondiale.
Un programma ricchissimo per un weekend mozzafiato:
Venerdì 2 Agosto 2019: Campionato del Mondo UCI specialità 4Cross (ingresso libero)
Batterie da quattro atleti, 600 metri di pista in discesa, fra salti e paraboliche. Quello del 4Cross è un torneo ad eliminazione, in cui i più forti devono guadagnarsi l’accesso alle fasi che contano, batteria dopo batteria. Il 4Cross è un concentrato di adrenalina senza soluzione di continuità, fino alla batteria decisiva, quella finale: quella che assegna la maglia di Campione del Mondo UCI.
Sabato 3 Agosto 2019: Coppa del Mondo UCI specialità Downhill (ingresso con biglietto)
In Val di Sole si arriva quando la stagione agonistica è già nel pieno, ma della pista Black Snake si parla tutto l’anno. Non ci sono vie di mezzo: gli atleti la amano o la odiano. I più tecnici, i più arditi, aspettano con ansia la resa dei conti su una delle piste più famose e impegnative d’Europa, con un dislivello di 540 metri su un tracciato di 2.400 mt da affrontare in picchiata, in prevalenza naturale, con sassi, radici, alberi e salti a fare la differenza fra chi starà davanti e chi dovrà accontentarsi. Per questo, vincere in Val di Sole ha sempre un sapore speciale.
Domenica 4 Agosto 2019: Coppa del Mondo UCI specialità Cross Country (ingresso con biglietto)
È la disciplina della Mountain Bike per eccellenza, quella che ogni quattro anni assegna una medaglia olimpica negli eventi a cinque cerchi. Il Cross Country è una sfida di tecnica, velocità e resistenza, tutte da mettere in luce su un anello in sterrato, prevalentemente naturale, di circa 4 km, da percorrere più volte a seconda delle varie categorie. Si parte tutti assieme, ma saranno i 180 metri di dislivello per giro a fare la differenza fra i protagonisti. Negli ultimi anni, il Cross Country in Val di Sole è stato sempre dominio di atleti con almeno una medaglia iridata nel cassetto: difficile che sia un caso…
Se tutto questo non bastasse, lo spettacolo della Coppa del Mondo continua anche dopo il traguardo: live music, spettacoli, eventi collaterali, e la possibilità unica di entrare a contatto diretto con atleti e squadre. Una grande festa, lunga tutto un fine settimana.

The spotlights of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup move on Val di Sole, Trentino, for one of the most anticipated and spectacular stages of the whole World circuit.
An intense program unfolds through a breathtaking weekend:
Friday August 2nd, 2019: UCI 4Cross World Championship (free entry)
A head-to-head race, with four riders starting together in each heat on a 600 mt slope, with jumps and parabolic bends. The 4Cross is an elimination tournament, in which the strongest must earn their way to the decisive phases, heat after heat. 4Cross is non-stop adrenaline until the final run, that will assign the UCI 4Cross World Champion’s rainbow jersey.
Saturday August 3rd, 2019: UCI MTB World Cup – Downhill (ticket entry)
Val di Sole’s stage comes in the midst of the competitive season, but the Black Snake track is a topic for discussion all year long. Riders either love it or hate it: there’s no middle ground. The most technical and daring athletes look forward to the showdown in one of the toughest and most famous downhill tracks in Europe, with a 540 mt. elevation gain to be faced over 2.400 meters to be ridden full-throttle, mostly natural, with rocks, roots, trees and jumps making the difference between the winners and those who will have to settle. That’s why winning in Val di Sole always has a special taste.
Sunday August 4th, 2019: UCI MTB World Cup – Cross Country (ticket entry)
It’s the mountain bike discipline par excellence, the one that awards an Olympic medal every four years. The Cross Country is a matter of technique, speed and resistance, all of those to be displayed on a 4 km dirt circuit, mostly natural, to be faced multiple times according to the different categories. After the mass start, the 180 mt. elevation gain will open gaps between the top riders. Over the last few years, Val di Sole’s Cross Country races have been dominated by riders with at least a World title to their name. And hardly by chance…
If this was not enough, the World Cup show continues even after the finish line: live music, performances, collateral events, and a premium opportunity to get close and personal with riders and team. A great party, all weekend long.
